Making a complex idea simple to see is the whole job, and hybrid power is about as hard to explain as it gets. The battery carries the site most of the day, clean and quiet, and the generator only runs a few hours to recharge it. I turned that into a single looping animation, on a 24-hour clock, so the concept clicks in seconds instead of paragraphs.
The Challenge
A concept that always needed too much explaining.
Hybrid power sounds abstract: a battery and a generator, somehow working together to save fuel. On a spec sheet or a static diagram it takes paragraphs to explain, and people still walk away unsure how it plays out over a real day on site.
POWR2 had been visualizing it with a static before-and-after diagram. It was accurate, but it still needed a lot of talking-through to land. The concept needed to be felt in motion, not read.
The Insight
The fastest way to explain something complex is to let people watch it work, not read about it. Show the full 24-hour cycle as a loop, with the load always carried first, and the savings explain themselves.
The Solution
One short loop, on a 24-hour clock.
The whole cycle in one view.
A single looping animation runs a full day: the battery powering the site, its charge drawing down, the generator kicking on for a few hours to recharge, then dropping back to standby. A 24-hour clock ties it together.
Built solo, start to finish
Design, 3D, animation, and edit, all mine. Textured in Substance and composited in Premiere and Photoshop, using masking and transparent imagery to keep it clean and light.
Made to share
Short, silent, and loopable, so the same asset works as a web hero, a social post, and a slide in a sales deck without changing a thing.
The Result
When the visual does the explaining.
- One of the most-visited pages on POWR2.com and one of its best-performing social posts.
- The go-to slide for explaining hybrid power in sales presentations.
- Proof of the thread running through my work: take something genuinely complex and make it simple to grasp through a single, well-built visual.
